AVS Introduction
History:
Avalanche Style (AVS) started in September of 2005. The core members that started the site came from different regional chapters in California.
In October of 2006, Avalanche Style became the new Central California Chapter of the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club - CAFCNA.
As of May 2007, all the California Regions on CAFCNA have become one.
Club Objective:
To be an open forum dedicated to the Chevy Avalanche and all enthusiasts worldwide. Cadillac EXTs are also welcomed.
Second, to serve members of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and other California Regions for get-togethers and other supported activities.
Future Plans:
5/13/07 - Now that we have switched web hosts our immediate plan is to ensure that we are running in a stable environment.
We love to keep up with the latest versions of Simple Machines Forum and Wordpress interfaces to leverage the latest in web developments.
We believe that our forum and blog systems will keep our members closely in touch with each other making our get togethers and online interactions a richer more enjoyable experience. We also hope that leveraging new web technologies will attract new members and keep existing ones.
At this time blog registrations are closed since these pages are more informational. We encourage all interested members to register in our forum instead. However, if at a later time you are interested in becoming an author of our blogs, we would be more than happy to discuss it with you.
We also urge you to become a member of the National site just because they has such a depth and breath of information there - CAFCNA. There are other Avalanche Clubs such as, Club Avalanche and AV Owners that also have a good database of information.
Members will be notified via email of any events, but will also receive monthly or quarterly updates on the status of the club and any changes to the club’s guidelines. Your personal information and/or email addresses will not be given to any outside entity. What happens in Avalanche Style, stays in Avalanche Style.
Any merchandise sold on this site will go towards the operation, maintenance, and promotion of the site. Any profits will be minimal at most. Our focus will always be towards goodwill, family, and friendship.
We respect the rights of others and hope the same in return as far as the day-to-day conduct in the forum and blog systems. We look forward to talking to you online and hope you enjoy our site dedicated to our beloved Avalanches.

Avalanche Style
Effective May 1, 2007
** New members are eligible to win an AVS decal! **
Requirements:
Member must have 15 posts or more within 30 days of their registration date to qualify
Rules:
- Registration and Referral program effective on May 1, 2007
- Must have valid account on our main site. Posts are not counted on our backup or test sites.
- Winner will be announced every first business day of every month
- Participant must have a valid email address and provide mailing information upon notification of winning
- Anyone who joins after any month’s announcement will have their post count carried over to the following month to qualify. Only posts made within 30 days of registration date will be counted.
- Posts must include verbiage pertaining to thread
- Multiple accounts not allowed
- Administrators can exclude non-qualifying posts in post count within the 30 day period
- The winner of each month’s drawing will have their name put in for a bigger prize at the end of the calendar year.
** Existing members are eligible for year end prize! **
Existing members will be included in a separate yearly drawing if they refer any new member and that member satisfies the requirements of 15 posts or more within 30 days of their registration date. New member’s profile must indicate who referred them.
Each qualified referral equals one name in the hat for the drawing. The more people that are referred, the more chances that person has in winning the year end prize.

Two prizes will be awarded at the end of the year, one for new members and one for existing. The rules are subject to change without notice.
