Picc lines suck for sure. I have a scar left from mine.
Just hang in there, it will all be history soon enough.

Isn't beer a good antibiotic? I think it is!  :icon_beer:

Thanks Cliff and Ric.    I'm so lucky to have Steve the Beave, with his Cal/Guard med experience,
to load up the I/V twice a day for  two and a half hour treatment.

I had a private room in my last stay on the 4th floor so I could watch the weather and sunsets,
and best, set the thermostat sown to something under a broil.

I'll have to ask the doctor about beer.

Sorry to hear that too Myron.  Glad Mamamia came by.  Hope she didn't make you laugh so much to make your scar open up again

My Orthopedic Surgeon finally gave me a new date to try again with the shoulder replacement.
I'll be hitting the O/R once again, for better or worse, first thing in the morning, on the 11th of August.

Sorry to hear that Myron.  What does a shoulder replacement entail?

To recap, after a fall in December, they replaced the damaged humerus with a stainless steel prosthetic in January, .  A staph infection ensued and they had to replace the prosthetic with a temporary unit as the infection was successfully treated, some two and a half months later.   Now they will try the replacement again on the 11th.

Glad your doctors are taking care of you and monitoring your recovery. Hope this one works out better.  :thumb:
